Big Fish Breaks Record! Photo!

This is certainly a big fish! A big ugly fish, but a big fish nonetheless!

This is an African Pompano and it was caught by Steve Bagnall (right).

Steve caught this 38 pound African Pompano on June 3rd, breaking the South Carolina’s record set in 1997.

Adult African Pompano normally range between 15 to 30 pounds and higher. The world record African Pompano from Florida is 50 pounds 8 ounces.

The taste for this big fish is described as excellent, but bagging one of these African Pompano’s is a workout!
