Jamie Lynn Welcomes Juneteenth Baby Girl!

Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed a baby girl today, but I wonder if she realizes it is Juneteenth.

Jamie Lynn and finance Casey Aldridge became parents today of a baby girl they named Maddie Briann.

I doubt if Jamie and Casey realize this is a very big day for some; a day called Juneteenth.

On June 19, 1865, Union Soldiers announced the end of the Civil War, and also read a general order freeing the slaves residing in Texas.

Few acknowledge Juneteenth, and only one state recognizes Juneteenth as a legal state holiday; Texas.
