Record-Breaking Child Pilot Vicki VanMeter Commits Suicide!

Vicki VanMeter, the record-breaking child pilot who broke records at age 11 and 12, committed suicide! She was found Saturday, March 15th in her Pennsylvania home. She was 26 years old.

Vicki VanMeter flew across the United States at 11 years old. When she was 12 years old, she flew from Augusta to Glasgow, Scotland. She wasn't alone, but she did all the flying herself.

Success Doesn't Mean Happiness

According to reports, Vicki earned a criminal justice degree, and afterwards, went on to serve 2 years in the Peace Corps.
