This is a warning to every parent. Keep your Spring Breaker safe!!! If you have a child going off to any one of a number of hot Spring break locations, do some serious talking beforehand. You just cannot trust everybody.

Reports are coming in hot and heavy about a security guard, Shawn Wuertly, that not only assaulted an 18 year old student, but he also threw her off a 6th floor hotel balcony. By a miracle, she is in the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

This happened early Monday at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort in Panama City Beach during spring break, but it could happen anywhere.

The point is to keep communicating with your Spring Breaker to keep them safe. If you would like more information and tips on how to be safe, Travel Can Be Murder by Terry Riley is not only a great book for business travelers, but pleasure travelers as well.

You can also read more of the assault at CNN.com and FOXNews.com. Whatever you do, keep your Spring Breaker safe!
